JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to drive procurement excellence, strengthen commodity risk management, and support sustainable business growth through strategic sourcing, trade settlement management, and continuous process improvement across the Vegetable Oils and Animal Proteins portfolios in Europe. The role enables value creation by delivering savings, improving resilience across the supply chain, enhancing forecasting capabilities, and building efficient, data-driven procurement processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end trade lifecycle for physical and financial commodity transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. ​​​​​

  • Validate, reconcile, and finalize trade captures while maintaining high standards of data quality and reporting accuracy. ​​​​​

  • Lead settlement activities, including invoice validation, cash flow forecasting, and resolution of commercial disputes with counterparties. ​​​​​

  • Act as the key point of contact for CRM hedging settlement processes and related stakeholder coordination. ​​​​​

  • Partner with procurement, finance, and supply chain teams to identify, develop, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. ​​​​​

  • Support the development and execution of procurement strategies that deliver savings, business resilience, and sustainable sourcing outcomes. ​​​​

  • Drive delivery of savings, cost optimization initiatives, and cash performance targets within the Animal Proteins portfolio. ​​​​

  • Provide market insights, commodity intelligence, and accurate price forecasts to support budgeting, planning, and business decision-making. ​​

  • Build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maximize value creation and support business objectives. ​​

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through market knowledge, supplier development, and cross-functional collaboration.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field. ​​

  • Experience in Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related business function. ​​

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends, business data, and financial information. ​​

  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. ​​

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SAP systems and procurement-related business processes. ​​

  • Knowledge of commodity markets, risk management, forecasting, or hedging activities. ​​​

  • Demonstrated experience in value engineering, supplier management, or delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
