ROLE PURPOSE


The HR Generalist provides end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle and partners with business leaders, managers, and employees to deliver people initiatives, operational excellence, and employee experience. The role ensures smooth execution of HR processes while supporting key business priorities, organizational changes, talent agenda, employee relations, and compliance requirements.

YOUR ROLE/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Employee Relations & People Support

  • Support employee relations cases, investigations, grievance handling, and disciplinary matters.

  • Provide guidance on company policies and employment practices.

  • Support redundancy, restructuring and organizational change activities as required.

2. Talent & Organisation

  • Support talent review, succession planning and capability building initiatives.

  • Facilitate onboarding, internal movements, promotions and offboarding activities.

  • Assist with workforce planning and organizational design activities.

  • Maintain accurate organization structure and people data.


3. HR Operations & Governance

  • Coordinate HR processes with People Operations and shared service teams.

  • Ensure employee records and HR documentation are maintained accurately.

  • Support policy implementation and process improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and company policies.

4. Business Partnering Support

  • Support performance management processes, talent discussions, and engagement initiatives.

  • Provide HR insights and recommendations to leaders.

5. Reporting & Analytics.

  • Analyze trends relating to attrition, employee movements, diversity, and talent metrics.

  • Support leadership reporting and business reviews.

6. Projects & Transformation

  • Support implementation of HR transformation initiatives and process improvements.

  • Drive adoption of HR systems, tools, and digital solutions.

  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects and change management activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

  • 5-7 years of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or HR Operations experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation.

  • Experience handling employee relations matters.

  • Experience in a multinational organization preferred

SKILLS

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Problem solving and analytical capability.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (Workday preferred).

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Internal:

  • Functional Directors, Line Managers, Global/Regional Expertise teams

External:

  • External market peer contacts and HR bodies
