BUSINESS CONTEXT

Home Care Fabric Cleaning is ~7 Bln Euro Business. Within that Fabric Cleaning Powders is a ~4 Bln Euro and continues to drive value creation through superior, sustainable and affordable products enabled by differentiated technologies from Partner programs, bespoke technical, instrumental and digital capabilities underpinned by strong consumer insights. Whilst the track record of Value creation program has been outstanding over the last several years, we need to ensure this program is “future fit” with a step up on these key enablers. 

ROLE

The incumbent will work closely with Format director, Technology and Digital Lead to identify strategic workstreams for “Future fit” Powders program (2-3 years) and deliver them through our partnership (S&T, Supplier and Digital). To do this, (S)he is expected to have a good understanding of technologies and partnership ecosystem. A solid grounding on digital ways of working and application of digital tools to unlock speed and efficiency for the program is desired.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will deliver to the following key workstream of the “future fit” Powders program

Digital: Define and Drive clear Digital targets for the team (Data capture in LIMS, model adoption). Work closely with DRD partners to identify opportunities for impactful model, model creation and democratization.  Technology Readiness: Drive implementation readiness (eg. Slurry, adjunct, needles) for implementation working closely with technology & processing team, external supplier partnership (as needed). Technology Roadmap: Work closely with technology leads in GDC and S&T to identify opportunities for next wave of technology (including synergies from existing palette of technologies). Execute lead opportunities to drive step change in Ecodesign and Value extraction. Be the custodian of technology and partnership knowledge.

Skills Needed for the Role:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering  or Masters in Chemistry from a reputed institute. Experience in FMCG formulation design is preferred.

  • Core Skills: Curiosity and willingness to learn and apply new Science & Technology (including Digital) to the Powders program. Resilient to challenges and consistent focus on the goal.

  • Digital Fluency: Ability to interpret complex datasets, data visualization (JMP/BI/Excel) and data-driven decision-making. Demonstrated skill on Digital and modelling is preferred.

  • Communication: Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders (External Partners, S&T teams, Digital team) with flexibility in influencing styles.
