Main Job Purpose:

The Distributor Assistant Manager will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of Customer Development capability in Laos by equipping CD teams, distributor and field teams with the right skills, tools, and ways of working to drive sustainable growth and execution excellence.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be:

Capability Needs Analysis

  • Conduct regular capability development needs analyses across CD functions/sub-functions and field execution teams to identify capability gaps, including ad hoc deep-dive assessments as required.

Capability Framework & Program Implementation

  • Implement the field sales capability framework and development roadmap, ensuring alignment with job skill requirements and overall business direction.
  • Execute capability development programs aligned with the approved framework to upskill CD functions/sub-functions and field sales teams to expected standards.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of key projects, initiatives, and tools that contribute to the progress of the CD function and Unilever business overall.

Learning Design & Customization

  • Develop high-quality learning materials, including slide presentations, workbooks, handouts, and exercise sheets, to ensure effective delivery of capability programs and activities.
  • Customize training and learning materials to address specific local needs, requirements, and business objectives.


Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Deliver, facilitate, and coordinate CD capability learning events, including training workshops, seminars/webinars, meetings, and roundtable sessions.
  • Apply a variety of methodologies and tools to maximize learner engagement and ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill acquisition.
  • Provide ongoing capability development support to field sales teams to ensure up-to-date knowledge and continuous improvement in execution excellence.


Coaching & Field Capability Reinforcement

  • Conduct regular field coaching visits to reinforce learning application and drive performance improvement.
  • Strengthen field sales team capabilities on Basic Call Procedures (BCP) by closely following up on coaching conducted by supervisors and managers.


Learning Evaluation & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain robust tracking of learning acquisition and effectiveness for all capability development events.
  • Conduct evaluations of CD capability learning initiatives and measure the effectiveness of each program delivered.
  • Drive sustainable completion rates of UFSA programs, ensuring achievement of minimum targets set by the CD Capability Manager.


Digital Learning Administration (UFSA)

  • Administer the UFSA program via the OpenLMS eLearning platform, ensuring target users complete required modules and successfully acquire knowledge.
  • Stakeholder Management & Support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across CD functions/sub-functions, distributors’ leadership, and their teams.
  • Provide coordination and facilitation support for CD events as requested by the Head of CD

Experiences & Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Fluent Lao and good English
  • 2–4 years in sales, capability, or FMCG roles, Distributor experience preferred
  • Sales knowledge, training facilitation, data analysis, communication, stakeholder management, and report.
  • Energetic, hands-on, strong coach, understands local market.
  • Ability to work efficiently with speed.
